It was a very happy day when Rose arrived in February of 2000. My good friend Marianne had been checking the Albany NY airport every day anxiously hoping the temperature would go high enough to fly her to me. I was a wreck waiting at this end worrying if she'd be okay.

This lovely airport shipping guy was looking at a woman in tears of relief and happiness. They treated Rose with respect and tenderness unloading her here because they knew there was a foolish crying woman waiting for her inside the gate. They were a nice bunch of folks who enjoyed delivering something as special as any VIP passenger they ever had.

To Marianne's dismay, because she figured Rose would miss her, Rose sprang from that crate cheerful as could be; ready to start her new life with whoever picked her up. Just take me Rose said.

Rose was my first girl. Was I in for a surprise! To my delight, this puppy had such a different outlook than my boys. She and I became inseperable. We still are. She is my daughter, sister, and sometimes my mother hahaha.

Rose was a gift from Marianne. She had two nice pick girls sent to her by her co-breeder, Kathy Eddy, and only could keep one.

It was so nice having a grandmom. I shared all of Rose's progress with Marianne for 2 years. Then Marianne passed away. I share her titles and life with Marianne quietly talking to her when Rose's best times happen. I know she is listening.

It was intended for Rose to have a field career but as she grew I saw a lovely obedience girl emerge. When the leash comes out, Rose wants to dance!

Rose has had a lifetime career between obedience, being a mom, and my house diva. She's my constant companion. Rose is the mother of the Roselake children. She's produced 13 pups who are out having good working careers. Rose gave them sound bodies and working spirit to carry them.
